Roscrea Lions Club’s production of “Strictly Fun Dancing” was a tremendous success with capacity crowds for both nights of the event.
Winners of the first night of Roscrea Lions Club Strictly Fun Dancing fundraiser were “Sister Act”. The group which consists of staff from the Sacred Heart National School are pictured here receiving their prize from Marie Carroll who represented the sponsors for the night, Roscrea Credit Union.

Twelve acts competed each evening and were greeted with great enthusiasm by those present. On the first night, the Sacred Heart Primary School took first place with their “Sister Act” routine. Their chosen charity was Crumlin Hospital for Sick Children. On the second night Brendan’s Bar emerged as winners after a wonderful “Dance Off”. Francis McDonald and Fionnuala Doyle took the honour on behalf of Brendan’s and their chosen charity was the “Irish Wheelchair Association”.
The “Deno Dancers” proved to be a great hit with audiences for the Roscrea Lions Club “Strictly Fun Dancing” show on Friday last. The Deno Dancers represented the Laurels at the Dean Maxwell Home, Roscrea.

Evelyn and Edel Carey were part of a large party of Roscrea Folk Group members that were delighted to participate last week in the Lions Club,
“Strictly Fun Dancing” show.
