Roscrea Musical Society is gearing up for their 72nd annual production from 28th April – 5th May when they will stage the lively and energetic show ‘All Shook Up’.
This year’s cast have been busy at work in preparation for what will be a most exciting and not to be missed show. It includes all the classic Elvis songs with the storyline loosely based around his life.
Proinnsias & Louise
It is wonderful to see many new faces over the past few years with this year no exception and its great to have quite a number of secondary school and college students treading the boards, some for the very first time. Of course we can’t forget our established members whom have been wonderful stalwarts over the years and this will no doubt shine through once again.
Aileen & John
The society has been involved in many other ventures over the last few years including participation in the Lions Club ‘Strictly fun Dancing’, having a float in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and we ran a very successful Pantomime ‘Sleeping Beauty’ before Christmas which received great support from the people of Roscrea and surrounds. We couldn’t survive without the fantastic support we receive year in and year out from our Patrons and Sponsors and this helps to counteract some of the show costs.
We are greatly indebted to everyone who helps out in many ways to ensure the society stays going through thick and thin and we hope you will enjoy our new display in the Abbey Hall when you come to see this years production. Make sure and get your tickets early as booking is going very well in Roscrea Credit Union with many Elvis enthusiasts eagerly awaiting to be ‘All Shook Up’ and they wont be disappointed as our cast and crew are making sure this years production is one not to be missed.
