An exciting prospect lies ahead for the people of Roscrea and surrounding
towns and parishes. November 22, 23 and 24th sees the beginning of what is
hoped to be an annual Drama Festival featuring all the best talent in the
The 3 night event will see 6 drama groups from various locations tramp the boards in a bid to impress the adjudicator and walk away with the top prize of 1000 euro! Door sales and raffle sales will go to Roscrea Lions for their considerable list of charitable projects. Competing in the competition are, Clareen (Last Tango in Little Grimley) Killavilla (The Pawn Shop) Birr (And they used to star in the movies), Roscrea (Gosforth Fete), Ballyskenach (The Marriage Plan) and Portumna Lorrha (London Vertigo). First one-act play commences at 8-15 each night and tickets are on sale from the 9th Nov at the booking office in Roscrea Shopping Center (Castle Street) 12-30 pm to 2-30 pm each day.
Tickets are 10 euro each or 25 euro for the 3 night festival.
