|St Cronan's Amateur Boxing Club, Roscrea, were very pleased with the turnout|
at their recent opening day. The club having recently moved were delighted
to have Cllr Michael Smith open the new Boxing Club and Fitness Gym on the
Ashbury Estate, Roscrea.

The club caters for boxers of all ages and from complete beginners to some
of their members taking part in the high performance training.
The club who has 75 members, which include 45 children and 30 adults, is
also proud to boast, 3 Munster Champions, 2 Munster Finalists and 2 County
Champions among many other medals and awards.
Gary Thompson the club president said We are delighted with all who came to
support us and St Cronan's Amateur Boxing Club would like to thank everyone
who attended the event, epically Cllr Michael Smith, Michelle Putti from
North Tipperary Leader Partnership, and also all at North Tipperary Sports
Partnership for all their ongoing help and support. The club would also
like to thank all the boxing clubs, boxers and coaches that attended which
included Ballinasloe, Mountrath, and Nenagh Boxing Clubs.
The opening hours of the club are 5.45pm for children and 6.50pm for adults
Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The club also holds boxercise classes on
Thursday evening at 7 o'clock, boxercise is an effective, fun, challenging
and safe exercise, for anyone who would like to attend please come along or
