The club would like to thank Pat McDonnell of Inland Fisheries Ireland, Michael King contractor, Michael Hannon, land owner, Joan Hasting of Percival’s, Michael Smith, Noel Wright Tree Surgeon, Tommy Kiely for keeping the Towns Cup that was sponsored by Roscrea Bacon Factory in 1980, and was won by his late father Eoin Kiely three years in a row, Dan Loughnane for keeping the bank account open from the old fishing club, the TUS scheme and finally the members themselves. The club are truly grateful to everyone that helped in year one, and will continue working along with the IFI, IFA, SSB, TUS, Mick Smith CC, and the Council and local landowners. This has been a truly successful year and a very worthwhile project for the town of Roscrea.
