Relaunch of Racket Hall Hotel
The future of the ever popular Racket Hall Country Hotel in Roscrea is bright said Allen Mc Enery, the hotels managing director at the relaunch of the property on 1st July 2016.

The hotel was relaunched after an extensive refurbishment by the Minister for Tourism & Sport, Mr Patrick O Donovan, T.D. Mr O Donovan was very impressed with the presentation of the hotel, being a regular commuter between Limerick & Dublin he was familiar with the old hotel and was happy to see that the future of the hotel and
the sixty jobs was secure. Mr O Donovan said it was a priority of his to make sure the Failte Ireland initiative, “ Irelands Ancient East” was successful as this would make hotels like Racket Hall more viable and drive business into the regions.

The landmark hotel, just off the main Dublin-Limerick road, recently welcomed its new owners, the Swiftcastle Hotel Group. The groups Managing Director is Mr. Allen McEnery, The Swiftcastle Group is the owner of the popular seaside Quality Hotel Resort in Youghal, Co Cork.

The hotel has had just completed phase one of the refurbishment programme that included the complete re-design of all the ground floor, the banqueting suite, bar, reception and adjoining rooms. The interior designer was the renowned Tracey Binek and she has brought a nice contemporary look to the hotel. The budget for phase one was €300k. Phase two will include the refurbishment of the bedrooms and the conference rooms.
The hotel employs 60 people and is a very good contributor to the local Roscrea economy.
