On Friday November 23rd the world famous Harlem Gospel Choir will perform in Roscrea. The Choir will perform at Rackett Hall Country House Hotel at 8.30p.m and are brought to you by Tom Stapleton in association with The Irish Times and the generous support of Roscrea Credit Union as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations.

The Harlem Gospel Choir is universally considered the best Gospel Choir of all time. Formed in 1988 The Choir draws its core singers from various black churches in the Harlem community, who share the common aim of bringing about a better understanding of African/American culture. Founder member, Allen Bailey has worked in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. He was promotional director for major recording artists including Lionel Ritchie and the Commodores, as well as Prince, Michael Jackson, and Isaac Hayes.
Since making their debut at the New York Cotton Club, the Choir has gone on to perform for Nelson Mandela and the late Pope, John Paul 11 amongst others. They have also featured on U2's “Rattle and Hum” album, film and tour which prompted Bono to say They Are Angels in Harlem.
Their songs of inspiration touch the depths of the soul and raise spirits to angelic heights. The Choir devotes its time to spreading the joy of faith throughout the world.
